So here in XGN the News Team are on a roll again getting the inside scoop on what’s new and hot on the presses. Well allow me to be the one to bring you this fantastic news!!! XGN UMI VII has been promoted to DIVISION LEADER OF RoD! We had the privilege of sitting down with her and getting this amazing achievement with her hard work being documented. The interview commenced like this:
Q: What made you join XGN?
A: “I received a message from a good friend of mine one day while I was playing Destiny and I said yes I’d like to join because I didn’t have anyone to play with. There were three times during the train in I wanted to leave because I didn’t know what I was getting myself into.”
Q: Did you have any plans to rank up?
A: “No. My General at the time who had recruited me kept begging me to rank up, because the squad needed staff. It took a Co-Founder in my division to finally get me to rank up.”
Q: What was the hardest challenge you faced?
A: “The hardest thing I faced was when I was a Gen and my division BoW (Born of War) merged into RoD. I had to get used to the way that my new division ran things and when my squad was in a very bad place, I had to buckle down to fix it. So that’s exactly what I did.”
Q: Was there anyone in particular you looked up to and modeled yourself after?
A: “XGN South VII – he was a co-founder in my division who gave me a chance as a leader and taught me how to be a leader.
XGN Big Dawg 7XS – he gave me a chance as a co-founder and taught me what I needed to know as div-staff.
XGN HELL5 7XS – He put in a lot of work with me and the LDP. (Leadership Development Program) I always found when he did his workshops they were helpful as well as extremely informative. I really learned a lot from him.”
Q: What plans do you have for RoD in the future?
A: “I have many plans for RoD in the future, but for now I want to help the squad leaders and squads to learn to work together. I want to help the division staff to work better with the squad leaders and in turn the squad leaders with their lower ranks. To better the communication and bring us closer together.”
Q: Is there anything you want the members to know about you?
A: “As a leader I put in whatever was needed and then some. So when I tell a squad leader to do something they know I’ve done triple or quadruple that. I always give someone a chance and show others respect as long as they show me respect.”
Q: Whats the hardest thing about being a div lead?
A: “All the extra responsibility. So just like when you’re a general if your squad fails you fail, it’s the exact same when you’re a division leader. If your division fails you fail. Also in real life you cant just quit, because you have way too many responsibilities as well as many people who depend on you. Unless real life demands you to quit but if you leave just because your mad or something of the sort and you leave I have no respect for you as a leader.”
Q: What would you tell others who want to rank up?
A: “Keep working hard, don’t ask for rank. If your working hard the rank will come in time, then the better you will do.”
Q: Was Div-Lead what you thought it would be?
A: “Yes, but honestly its way better. The reason is because I have an active director who steps in when I’m unable to take care of a situation due to real life.”
Q: Is there last thoughts or advice you’d like to leave us with?
A: “Always give your best at any given time. There is always someone who’s watching and taking things from you as an example of what a leader should be.”
With that folks, on behalf of XGN and the News Team we would like to congratulate XGN UMI VII XS on making Div-Lead of RoD. We also want to wish her luck on all Her future endeavors. We know you will do many great things.
