During the holidays, XS gathers around and puts on tournaments for various games. One of these was FIFA, which was held on December 12th, 2018. There were many competitors, who among them was our very own tournament manager, RisingOfXGN. Being the winner, the news team were anxious to speak with him about his experiences.
In the interview we excitedly asked, “what made you want to join the tournament?” The second captain from Revenge WAG responded, “Well being a tournament manager, I was excited to see a game I play a lot. But not only that, to see our staff work together and watch it come alive was amazing.”
The FIFA competition was a challenge in itself, so knowing this we were curious what his biggest challenge was. “My biggest challenge was XGN Kiwis 7, a Triple Helix Founder. He gave me a run for my money, and I wound up making a few mistakes along the way. Also in the last game when I went up against XGN Flatinu2, a SSG in Anubis BoS. They were both amazing competitors.”
Being that it was a tournament there were many things that could have gone awry, so we thought we would ask, “what thoughts went through your mind during the tournament?” Thoughtfully Rising paused to think on it. “I tend to get really focused during games, but even more so I got nervous and made a few mistakes as I mentioned during my first match with XGN Kiwis 7 and my last match with XGN Flatinu2.”
Interestingly when asked what was the worst part of the competition, his response left us shocked. “In my opinion there isn’t a worst part. The reason I say this is because you get to see the talent that others bring to the table and in the end you get to challenge yourself to better your skills. On the other hand of that though, I believe the best part was seeing everything come together and watching others compete. It was awesome watching it come alive and seeing everyone having fun while doing it.”
Curiously we had also asked Mr. Rising if he would recommend others to compete in these tournaments and of course he didn’t disappoint. “I would definitely recommend it because it brings us together as a community and shows off our skills. After all that’s exactly what XS stands for, gaming and being a family.”
As the interview was drawing to a close, we asked him “If you had a chance to do anything differently and what advice would you give to those who would like to compete in the future?” Interestingly these were his answers, “No, I wouldn’t change anything because I had a lot of fun. Also for those who want to join in the future I say go for it.”
He paused thoughtfully and continued, “for anyone who is good at games, I say you should enter. Not only because its fun, but also to show off your talents. As a gaming community that is what we do. By doing so we gather together and game as a family and in my opinion that’s why we are here. We represent XS in a positive light and become an even closer family.”
With the closing of the tournament on behalf of XS and the news team, we would like to congratulate Mr. RisingOfXGN on his win of the FIFA tournament, and thank you to everyone who contributed and participated in it.
