Squad Spotlight: Siva, Devil’s Rejects! By XGN Oreo 7

Hello Gamers and Readers!

I am going to be writing an article on one of Devils Rejects newest squads, SIVA, a squad that split from an older squad SABRE. The squad is currently being run by XGN Grimlock as General, then XGN RoryMercury as Colonel and finally XGN Arr0w as their Major. One would say they have a pretty strong team just by looking at this roster.

SIVA is riding strong with a humongous CMS number of 83 which is really good for a squad which just split a couple months ago. SIVA being in the biggest division in XGN at the moment, Devils Rejects, has big standards for their squads so I am sure SIVA doesn’t have any special treatment.

Luckily for me I managed to get some time to interview the General of SIVA, XGN Grimlock to ask some questions relating to SIVA and how he runs the squad with his Senior Officer Staff.

Q: What was the squad like when you first took over as General?

XGN Grimlock

A: “The Squad Split from SABRE DR and at first anyones worry becoming a GEN is where is this squad going to go, and that’s a fair assessment to make when at the very beginning it was enthusiastic to go around and everyone felt it because a lot of people get excited when a squad splits. Members feel that they matter and it’s the biggest promotional period for a squad usually, GEN gets promoted to Co Founder and MAJ and COL get promoted to GEN one in the current squad and the other for the new squad or resurrect an old squad and in the first month we thrived and got to 65 members in a month. I can’t thank my staff enough for all the time and effort they put into not only make our members to feel like they are welcomed here but to make the squad thrive.”

Q: What is your most efficient way of keeping your squad organised?

XGN Grimlock

A: “My way of going about my business is the mentoring method where I mentor my COL to be a GEN, the COL mentors the MAJ and my main focus is having fun and getting recruits later. Yes it’s important and I do it myself even but I keep things to a need to know basis so the squad members don’t see what I see because they are here to have fun. Me and my staff are to worry about the stuff they signed up for aka Recruiting, Training, Sit Ins, Workshops, FP and so on,  but I still encourage members to ask questions to my staff if they wanna know how to rank up because I believe that way then they know what they’re signing up for rather then me tell my squad members what’s going on everyday cause sometimes they don’t need to know.”

Q: What are your plans for “” future?

XGN Grimlock

A: “My Goals would be to split the squad by the new year and have successful squads to oversee as Co Founder, but my Ultimate Goal is to be Founder because I feel as that would be the highest position I could attain with everything going on in my own personal life. So I could balance my real life with XGN but you never know I could be a Div Lead one day we will just have to see.”

Q: What do you do in your squad to boost morale?

XGN Grimlock

A: “This is the part that separates me from other people, I’m laid back, I tell my members that just because I’m a GEN doesn’t mean they can’t play with me. I’m a member like all of you in this community and I want to be treated as such, and I make my members feel like they are welcomed and that I’ll help them in the things that they are worried about or have no idea what to do such as rank up or how to host a game night. The quote I always tell them is ‘don’t knock it till you try it’, I always stress morale because a positive staff means positive squad and hope that spreads to other squads and other divisions.”

Q: Do you have anything you would like to say for any other Generals? Any tips?

XGN Grimlock

A: “Yes being a General can be hard and sometimes very frustrating and sometimes can back you into a wall, but I will use a quote that I’ve kept in the back of my mind. When that is the case nobody hits as hard as life, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently, if you let nobody hit as hard as life but It’s not about how hard you can hit It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward that’s how success and winning is done.”
I would like to thank XGN Grimlock for taking time out of his day to answer my questions and assist me in writing this article.

Thank You to you readers for spending time to read this article and I hope you guys have an amazing day and stay tuned for more articles! 🙂
