With E3 a couple weeks behind us we know of many great games being released this year. The hype has already begun for many popular titles. In this article I will be covering Battlefield V. Battlefield V returns to WW2 in the newest edition. They’ve made some bold claims including that all dlc expansions will be free to those who own the base game which is almost unheard of nowadays.
With all new games, Battlefield V has some new content and game modes to share with us as well as old favorites. The first new features comes to the game mode Grand Operation. In this mode they are releasing the concept of in game days, meaning each game which is around 45 minutes to one hour is a full game day. If you’ve played battlefield before this is much like the custom server modes that run multiple game modes at random.
Battlefield has always been popular in the sense that everything can be destroyed, so if that camper won’t get out of the tower he’s sniping from then you can just destroy the tower and boom, he has to find a new vantage point. A new twist to this is not only will everything be destroyable, but you can also rebuild and fortify any building, or area. This includes but isn’t limited to: fortifying a building, boarding up windows and doors, building sandbags if you have no cover, and essentially giving you the option to have cover no matter your location. Any class can pick up this tool box to build but the most efficient at building is the support class, because they have special things they can build including stationary machine guns.
So far I’ve only talked about multiplayer but battlefield will also have the single player campaign and a new separate co-op mode called combined arms. One thing that most people already know about and are excited about it their new battle royale game mode. Many games are jumping on the battle royale game mode bandwagon and I’m excited to see how they do it and keep it similar to the same battlefield we all know and love.
All in all there are alot of new and exciting features coming to the battlefield franchise. Increased bullet penetration depending on caliber of your weapon is just one thing they added to make it more realistic. The battlefield is ready to be claimed by you on Xbox, PS4, and PC on October 19th, 2018.
