Among the many great leaders in Xiled Gaming Network, we have those who go above and beyond the call of duty. Those who put more than what’s required to helping make things run smoothly. While those individuals are putting in the work, we recognize them for all they do. One such individual is XGN WizardlyYeti who was just recently promoted to XGN’s Chief Performance Officer. The XGN News Team jumped at this opportunity to interview Mr. WizardlyYeti to see what his thoughts were on his promotion.
E: When you joined XGN, did you ever want to rank up? Why or why not?
WY: “No. Not only did I not know anyone, I didn’t know what to expect. I also didn’t want the responsibility since this was my first community.”
E: What was the biggest challenge you faced?
WY: “Being a Division Leader. I think I made it challenging because I wanted to make sure the members had been placed in the right place for them. I wanted to be sure that all those that were in leadership were good for that position. I was also constantly using Director+ as avenues to make sure things were done right. It was also having to close down the division AG or Armored Gods.”
E: How long did it take for you to get where you are now?
WY: “6 years. I was Co-Division Leader of DoH but I demoted myself to SGT and transferred to DoD, then worked my way back up. That’s when DoD split into RoD. I decided to go to RoD until I got an Xbox, where I transferred to AG and became Division Leader. That’s also again where I had to unfortunately shut down AG.”
E: What is something you’d like others to know about you?
WY: “I’m calm, understanding, caring, compassionate, and I’m a good listener. I don’t like being put on a pedestal. I am 57 and I like to give others advice to help.”
E: When you joined XGN, did you think you’d get this far? Why or why not?
WY: “No, because it was the first community I joined and I didn’t want the responsibility, I lacked experience. But the more people I met and the more I learned, I felt like it was more of an obligation to move up and lead.”
E: Did you think you were going to get this promotion? Why or why not?
WY: “No. I was looking for a different position. However, I will still perform and fufill the duties of this position.”
E: What are your plans as the new CPO?
WY: “To continue on where Capo left off. Make sure communication between myself and Division Leaders continue. Also to help them grow as leaders for themselves and their divisions.”
E: Where do you hope to be in the future?
WY: “I don’t really have plans but to go where the future takes me. To continue to be the best I can be and continue on my responsibilities as a CPO.”
E: Is there anything that you’d like us to know about your current position?
WY: “My current position has a lot of responsibilities, but I hope to do well to help better the community.”
E: Is there any advice you would like to leave us with, or anything else you’d like to add?
WY: “Be true to yourself. We all know the code of conduct and policies, don’t allow emotions and favoritism to interfere with any of your decisions. Take all your experiences good and bad and use it to be a better leader and person to make better decisions to help others in the process. They are all important.”
With that being said we from the XGN News Team want to take the time to congratulate Mr. XGN WizardlyYeti on his promotion to Chief Performance Officer. We look forward to working with you and seeing what the future has in store for you. Good luck in all you do and in all your future endeavors.
