Who is the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP)? They were created in 2003, they had been a small organisation at that point which had grown over the last 20 years. At the start they had assisted with small items like comfort items to the hospital bedside for the veterans returning from the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq.  The Wounded Warrior Project is one of the largest veteran nonprofit charities. As many have known in the past the Wounded Warrior Project had a CEO which had embezzled money from the organization for personal growth. They are completely under new leadership which is leading the way to fix the tarnished name and bring the true goal back to light to help veterans.

What is the stream about? The stream for the Wounded Warrior Project is to help raise funds for them to assist veterans. What exactly would these funds go towards and what does the WWP? These funds help veterans with mental health. We all know at this time the whole world is suffering from a mental health crisis. They are assisting with getting veterans to the resources they need to assist them.

Why are we doing the stream? We are doing the stream for WWP to help bring awareness to not just the Wounded Warrior Project but also bring light to the mental health issue we currently have with our veterans. Most the games for the stream are shooter related games. These actually do tend to help some veterans come back to reality with mental health illnesses due to some cannot separate from when they were deployed versus back in the country. Overall the stream being that it is 24 hours is to show that we are here to help support the ones who gave all for us. Who knows, for those who made the ultimate sacrifice if they hadn’t we maybe speaking a different language now.
